Whitehorse ‘in session’

i’m going to a cottage rehearsal
world in a lake still round
but
kept in a mirror that
remembers my younger form
i’m going to
a cottage rehearsal
play house for a night
w/o house rules
going to purchase a boat
listen to Whitehorse
not the territory but the music
man and woman singing
words that mean
nothing to the crickets
chords
that strike a heart
and prove i’m
still alive
i’m
going to
a rehearsal
cottage studio
rock on water
and prove
i’m anchored
still
