I am not Fooled

oh how I love you
and my heart is angry
not which wine
nor chocolate
betrays
I wish i was
churchill
currie
ike
or St. Michael

but I try

my heart of Peter
sun tzu of war

a stroke instead
waits
sidelined, a
warrior in me
an advocate
of peace
whispering
‘no
hold on’
and i hold
on –
but i will not hide
bluff or play games
I am tactical
precise

-emotions aside-

God + servant
to His right
and myself
a sinner at their feet
asking
for strength
feathered arrows
+ advisors
round
my dinner table to
help guide
my mind my
heart my
anger
