stretched belly button and all….

eve awakes one morning
find herself in a new world
she stretches
hands out to the sky
realizes they are beautiful
understands the meaning
her belly button
and why adam suddenly
wants her bathed in
and the sky does not darken
it burns brighter
her hands feel warm
her breasts make her
want to learn
about woman hood
as she stands
waist high
in a small outcrop of
baby trees
they too want to reach higher
wrap themselves
around her bare
and she wants to understand
why she needs to feel
that touch
the warmth of that sun
streaming down through
green leaves
the moment where a bird
can play jazz
and she
can give thanks
hands up and palms out
smiling in blonde
to the horizon
a place she has not been
banished from
but must find a way
to travel
this ideology
reaches her soul
and fills her
and she must run
