Thank Gawd

even in black and white
you
know that’s a red
dress

mike hammer would be proud

give him 25 min
and he’ll solve your
television for
you

you’ll be in the rain
and you’ll
know
it’s a wet rain
cause
mike will tell you so

and now
the co-ed girls
of the pulp fiction park
will tell you

after equal time
or
after
the roof top party

they’re
reading up on them
all

Mike, John Blake

these ladies
are
just like the book
covers of
yesterday
the
black and white
television
before the rating
system

like mike

they’ll tell you

and the books and
the shows
will keep on sellin’
