lil fin to the rescue

lil
fin
yips around
my chalked
lined
body

she sits on the sofa waiting

lil fin
am i gonna miss you?

lil fin
quit lickin’
i’m sore
and
can’t laugh

there’s a
knock on the door
but
he won’t move
neither
will she
i’m in and out
eyes
trying to look
hope the under-door-shadow
does
more than stand in the
hall

YES

that was a gunshot

YES

that’s my dog sounding unhappy

NO

it
may not be safe

she is silent
but
possibly still
dangerous

lil fin
hold on lil buddy
i
will
too……
