calla lily

you have allowed other female figures into the house
a bouquet of 4 in the vos from the grocery store
red lips on yellow concave-funnels

i

have snipped their green legs
angled to sip as straws
puncturing the water
with each drip into their
new existence

an aspirin

or some sort is placed at the bottom of the vos
for the pain perhaps which these 4 ladies
must feel
but their exposure and life modelling on
the living room coffee table make you happy
they tell you i love you

and i do
