John Wayne said – give that person a 2nd chance but watch them closely

a good piece of lead
between
the
eyes

a car door
whacking
her
in
the
ass

blaming the mosquito
for
the
swat
upside
the
head

a skateboard
at
the
top
of
the
stairs

a 2×4
and
calling it
a
hearing
aid

same 2×4
and
calling it
an
olive
branch

bear trap
rattle snake
herd of elephants
angry angry bull

something

then a hug
an
‘i love you
but
smarten
up’

then step back
and
watch

hope/pray
but be prepared

out of love
you
may
have
to
start
the process
over
again
