beyond the furniture

you are my human chair
dinner
table
late night couch
unique art work which i
move
around
the
room.

you

say

‘that’s what i am to you?’

indeed
yes you are

beyond the comfortable living
or necessity of food

you

are more important
than any painting
with
an ocean in
the background
your
body – whole

forefront
in the picture

‘i don’t understand’

you
say

well-
neither do i
except that
without

you

this house is not a home
only

pieces of furniture
that have never been lived in

lacking
two people
eating
dinner and appreciating the simplicity
of their love

it would just be
me

alone in a room
with abstract ornamental wood and cushions

always
alone and worse

lonely……
