EXCERPT FROM RETURN OF A DICK…..our first argument

you might see black and greys at night
you might know about other stuff that
you might know about all the darkness
that occurs out there 24 hours
a day….

but when i look out these windows
i hear music
i see ships sleeping in the harbour
parents coming home after a hard day at work
i see the smoke stacks lit up
the downtown hoping a museum or a
concert might come around
i see the local pubs bringing in local talent
and people walking
to their favourite location for a
hard earn meal and
talking about the
i see the things i wonder if
you forgot….

i see a day well spent

and a night worth living…..
