God do you really love me
‘what a silly question’
and the geese fly over head
another fall into wintersleep where i can hibernate within you.
do you hear the voice within
you placed words inside my chest
displaced puzzle of phrases – your gift to me
‘organize them and resend out into the Canadiana’.
i am praying lately in the early morning hours
knowing you are with me – i place a second chair
understanding the outside world without their faith will say
‘he’s a strange and silly man’
so instead of the front – we sit in the backyard
and the geese are flying home
wintersleep is over once again……
